If you are looking at a foam flimsy flip flop, odds are that the crystals are only adhered with a cheap adhesive, and they are likely to fall off after use. Look for flip flops that are strong and sturdy, and a size that accurately fits your feet. Also, the crystals should be sewn onto the straps, instead of glued on. If the crystals are sewed on into the flip flop, you don't have to worry about brushing your foot against something and having them fall off. While trying on the flip flop, brush your hands across the crystals somewhat roughly a few times to see if they move or fall off. This will indicate if they are worth your money. 

If you are considering creating your own crystal flip flops, its actually fairly easy to do. You can even start with cheap flip flops, like ones from old navy. Head to your local craft or hobby store and pick out some crystals, and some super glue. If you are looking to create crystal flip flops that will last a long time, you may want to get some crystal beads that you can sew with a needle and thread into the straps, this way you will not lose your crystals. When you get home, apply the crystals and glue them where you want them, and allow to dry, as long as the bottle recommends. If you are sewing the crystals, use fishing string so that you don't see it, and sew the crystals onto the straps, knotting the ends multiple times, and also gluing the end to the inside of the strap so it doesn't move or come undone. 

Crystal flip flops are stylish accessories that everyone loves to have, just make sure that you get some that last! If some of your crystals do happen to fall off, just use some super glue to put them back on.
